One of those days....

Have you ever had one of those days?  I mean one of those days, where you wake up and you don't feel quite right?  Then, you attempt to start the day and everything you attempt to do simply goes wrong?

I'm having one of those days!  :-)  Yes, I'm smiling.  That's all we can do in such circumstances, right?  Just "grin & bear it."  That's me!

Today I had booked a vocalist to perform at the A.R.t Galerie as part of my "ground breaking" event.  She did not show up nor did she acknowledge the fact that she forgot (if, in fact, she did).  The second performer was fine -- but, alas, lag and TP issues were an issue.  I could not event TP into the sim/land.  It was silly.  I used my main computer, my laptop and my two avatar accounts without success.

Bottom line, don't let this stuff get you down.  It's JUST SL.  LAL = laugh @ Linden.  :-)

A.R.t Galerie is MOVING ON... New Location, New Beginnings

After five fabulous years at New Boston Art Colony (nee New Boston Station), A.R.t Galerie is moving to a new location:  A.R.t Galerie @ Insight Island, http://slurl.com/secondlife/Insight/43/100/22/.

It was with much consideration and thought that I made the difficult decision to dissolve New Boston Art Colony as a sim altogether, which lead me to find a new home for A.R.t Galerie.  Fortunately, Hypatia Dejavu (former sim owner for New Boston Station) who owns Insight Island offered a comparable location for A.R.t.  Hypatia is a dear RL & SL friend.  This transition would not be possible without her support &, most importantly, her friendship.

Right now, I'm in the midst of transitioning the Galerie over to Insight.  The building itself is there and I'm slowly working on refining the interior textures & landscaping the parcel.

Other words in progress include contracting new artists to exhibit at the Galerie at its new location and arranging for a grande re-opening party.  This will be an all day event to cover all time zones.

Rest assured that A.R.t Galerie will not lose its momentum, passion & the power sense of support for the arts.  I am committed to the arts in SL (and in RL).  I'm very excited about this new location, new beginning.  :-)

November - December 2011 Installations

Alas, another year is coming to an end! However, it is with great pleasure that A.R.t Galerie is hosting a variety of fine art from Germany, France, and Algeria! Walt Ireton's photography (Germany) is on the main floor, Dori Helstein (Algeria) combines poetry and art on the middle floor, and Aneli Abeyante (France) lends her collection on the top floor.  Please welcome these very fine artists to A.R.t Galerie! 

Our opening exhibit party will be held Sunday, 13 November @ 1P SLT/PDT.  Gina Gracemount, a lovely jazz/blues singer, will perform live for us.
